I can’t believe I am about to say this. I would have sworn that nothing like what I am about to say would ever have fallen from my lips. And yet, here it is. I like snowboarding. After years spent refusing to try anything requiring something strapped to my feet and a hill, my eyes have finally been opened to what other people seem to find so enjoyable. It has taken some time, but I am proud to say that after sticking with it through the bruises, the falls and a few tearful tantrums (thank you to my wonderful husband for enduring those), I have a completely new and positive outlook on snowboarding. There is one thing though, that has proven to be a major obstacle to my new found hobby: the devil chairlift.
Just wanted to post a few more photos from our Florida visit. I am still basking in the glow of a wonderful week with family and great friends! These photos include our second dinner party at Corrie and Joan’s rented house and our lunch with Uncle Ken and Aunt Edith at their beautiful home. The last one is from the lovely dinner we had with friends John and Barb at my parent’s condo. My dad made homemade pasta, which was delicious! No snow. No hats or gloves. No scarves. Nothing below 60 degrees. This is happiness in February! We’ve spent the past few days in Florida visiting my parents in their condo. What a wonderful get-away from the cold northeast. We flew in on Tuesday and still have a little more time here to enjoy the weather and the company.
